OMEA/TI:ME 2014

OMEA14logoI’m very excited to have been invited back to Buckeye Country to present two sessions at the 2014 OMEA/TI:ME Conference!  It was great to see old friends and meet a bunch of great teachers.

Here are the sessions presented…

Use Technology to Help Organize, Administrate, and Promote Your Music Program
Thursday, February 6 at 5:00 PM, Room C223

Creating Exciting Accompaniments with Garageband
Friday, February 7 at 2:30 PM, Room C226

There are no slides for this session, as it was mainly demo.  Check out the links regarding information on the software and hardware use in this session.

I don’t provide handouts, so  the information I present is posted on this site.  Please feel free to contact me with questions or just to talk tech!

iPhone software update

It will be interesting to see if Apple fixed the bugs with the iPhone software 2.1 update.

Problems I hve encountered include:

• Frequent third party app crashes. Some of these problems are from the app developers, but I bet some stem from the iPhone software.

• Really slow response fron the address book.

• Battery life seems less as compared to the 1.4 software.

Hopefully they will add some more features like copy and paste.

I’ll be commenting on the update once it comes out.
